This page explains what happens to the information you send us through this website. It is short because we collect very little.

What we collect

If you fill in the booking form, we receive the name, phone number, email address and job details you type into it, so that we can reply to you and quote the work. If you ring the shop or send an email instead, we hold whatever you tell us in that call or message.

We do not ask for payment details through this website. Payment happens in the shop or on collection.

What we do with it

We use it to answer your enquiry, to carry out the sharpening you asked for, and to contact you about that job. We do not sell it, rent it, or pass it to anyone else for their own marketing.

We will only send you anything beyond a reply to your enquiry if you have asked us to.

Who else can see it

The companies that run our website and our email can technically access it as part of providing those services. They are not permitted to use it for anything else.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and job records for as long as we need them to run the business and to meet our record-keeping obligations, and no longer.

Cookies and measurement

This website sets only the cookies needed to make its pages work. If we later add website analytics to understand which pages people find useful, we will say so here.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Ring the shop on 705-691-0802 or email baysharpening@vianet.ca and we will deal with it.
